  FAQs

What is a podcast?

A podcast is a free video or audio series — like a TV or radio show — that you download to your computer and listen to or watch whenever you want. Once downloaded, podcasts can be transferred to your iPod, Zune or other portable media player. What makes a podcast different from a normal audio or video file hosted online is that you can subscribe. Meaning, it will automatically download to your computer whenever a new episode of a particular podcast is released. If you're familiar with RSS, simply think of podcasting as RSS for audio and video.

Do I have to subscribe?

Although, subscribing is the preferred method of obtaining new podcasts; it is not necessary to subscribe to view the podcasts. You can play each podcast directly from this website by selecting the Watch button. If you choose to subscribe, new episodes will download onto your computer automatically, you won't have to continually check for new releases. It's free, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Do I need an iPod?

You don't need an iPod to listen to a podcast. All you need is a computer connected to the Internet that can play audio and video files. If you have a portable media player such as an iPod you can download the podcast file from your computer to your media player so you can listen or watch to the podcast when you are on the waiting in line, walking the dog, or on a service call.
