Software Update at Installation and Preventative Maintenance

 

Before You Start

Access to the BUNN Online Learning Center is necessary to utilize all the technical documentation and access the latest software updates.

Before updating to the latest software version, the machine must first have the previous version installed.  If the pervious software updates were not performed, they must be installed in sequence before updating to the newest version.  Therefore, it is recommended that the technician download each software version onto a separate, formatted USB drive prior to visiting the installation site. 

On Site

Connect to Internet

1.    Connect to the internet by going to System > Machine Configuration.

2.    Ensure the slider button is activated that reads “Enable Cloud Connection.”

3.    If a wired internet connection is available near the machine, it may be used.

4.    If a wireless connection is preferred, activate the slider that reads “Wifi Module.”

a.    Select System > Network > Wifi.  All available networks are displayed.

b.    Select the appropriate network and enter corresponding password.

Data Backup

5.    Navigate back to the System > Machine Configuration to begin software update.

6.    Back up the recipe data onto an empty, formatted USB drive.  Custom recipe data will be lost during software update.

a.    Insert empty USB stick into the USB port.

b.    Select System > Data backup and recovery.

c.    Check (box) the items you wish to backup and select Data backup.

7.    Remove the USB drive with recipe data and keep at hand for later restoration.

Software Update

8.    Insert the USB drive with the current software version (retrieved from the BUNN Online Learning Center).

a.    If the machine does not have the previous version of software, each prior version must be installed in sequence before you are able to install the current software version.

Restore / Recover

9.    Reinsert the USB drive containing the backed-up data.

10. Select System > Data Backup and Recovery > Recovery.

11. Check (box) the items you wish to restore and select Restore.
